About UHS Business Direct

UHS Business Direct is a group of services offered by United Health Services Hospitals designed to meet the specific occupational health needs of employers. The services, which are described on the following pages, are provided through UHS Occupational Medicine and the UHS Employee Assistance Program. In addition UHS Business Direct offers a NYS certified Workers’ Compensation Preferred Provider Organization and Corporate and Workforce Development programs.

The services represent the region’s most comprehensive array of occupational health services and have been developed based on both regulatory and employers specific needs.  The Business Direct programs are dedicated to assisting employers in hiring and maintaining a healthy and productive workforce.

Important Information for Employers

The UHS Express Care and Occupational Medicine services as described within will be billed at the current UHS Occupational Fee Schedule in effect at the time of service. In reference to accessing services performed at UHS Occupational Medicine, employers must complete and sign a Request for Services form indicating what services are being requested, and send the form to the clinic with their employee(s). (Examples of the form can be found in Section 15 of this catalog).

The Request for Services form both Binghamton and Norwich makes reference to the following indemnity clause:  It is understood and agreed that the services requested will be performed as described in the Catalog of Employer Services.  The undersigned hereby agrees to indemnity UHS Occupational Medicine/UHS Hospitals, Inc. and to pay UHS Occupational Medicine/UHS Hospitals, Inc. the rate specified in the current UHS Occupational Medicine Fee Schedule.
