UHS Pharmacy Johnson City opens at 345 Main St.
The UHS Pharmacy Johnson City officially opened at 6:01 p.m., Saturday, March 23, at its new location, 345 Main St., across from the Wilson Main Tower. The retail pharmacy moved to this new, high-profile home from its previous location at Wilson Place.
The new facility serves both UHS patients and the public at large, and offers a 24/7 drive-through option—a first for UHS—plus a pharmacist-led vaccination clinic. Patrons can use the lobby entrance until 9 p.m. daily, with the drive-through window open around the clock. The new location is the closest 24/7 pharmacy to area hospitals.
The 11,000-square-foot site is in beautifully remodeled space formerly occupied by a CVS store, just across the street from the UHS Wilson Medical Center campus.
In a separate area of the building, with its own entrance, the UHS Specialty Pharmacy provides highly specialized medications to patients with serious, complex conditions, such as cancer, hepatitis or diabetes; the specialty service is available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
