UHS Delaware Valley holds successful community shredding event

UHS Delaware Valley Hospital sponsored a free community shredding event to assist people in protecting their identity by shredding their old financial and health records.

The event was held at the hospital’s main campus in Walton and 48 vehicles were emptied of years of old records.  People came from as far away as Roxbury, East Meredith, Deposit, and Bovina; and as close as Hamden, Delancey, Delhi, and Walton.

One couple brought a pick up full of records, while several brought their SUVs filled with paper.

Due to the success of this event, the hospital plans to hold another event in the future.
