PHOTOS: UHS celebrates Nurses Week and Hospital Week

“We are Healthcare. We are UHS!” With that theme, Healthcare Week 2022 was celebrated across the UHS System. UHS joined with other organizations across the country to mark National Nurses Week, May 6 to 12, and National Hospital Week, May 8 to 14, in a combined celebration.

Now more than ever, healthcare workers are viewed by the public as superheroes, making sacrifices, facing difficulties and enduring hardships as they provide superior care in the midst of a pandemic.

During the special week, UHS sponsored a number of events and activities that proved popular with staff. These included a time capsule, daily drawings, a photo scavenger hunt, trivia contests, a silly sock contest, barbecues and dining discounts, delivery of free ice cream, thank you chalk art on sidewalks, pet therapy, chair massages and yoga, plus musical interludes by members of the Binghamton Philharmonic.
