Important information regarding IV solutions shortage

Due to a national shortage, UHS is currently experiencing difficulty in obtaining IV solutions. This shortage is a direct effect of Hurricane Helene, which knocked out IV production facilities in North Carolina, where many of these products are made.

To ensure patient safety, our clinical leaders are actively evaluating the situation and putting measures in place to conserve our supplies. This may affect elective procedures at UHS in the upcoming days.
