Forbes lists United Health Services (UHS) among nation's best employers
United Health Services (UHS) in Greater Binghamton has been named to Forbes magazine’s fifth annual list of "America's Best Employers By State," a testament to our extraordinary team and culture.
According to Becker’s Hospital Review, we stand proudly with other high-ranking acute-care hospitals and healthcare systems in New York State, including New York-Presbyterian Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Forbes and Statista surveyed more than 70,000 employees nationwide, exploring working conditions, compensation and potential for advancement, among other factors. UHS’ inclusion on this prestigious list is a validation of our ongoing commitment to excellence, diversity and employee well-being.
"The Forbes ranking is a shared victory for each of us at UHS,” said Sheri Lamoureux, vice president for Human Resources and chief human resources officer at UHS. “It embodies our core values of Compassion, Trust, Respect, Teamwork and Innovation. We are not just a team, but a community that nurtures and supports each other. Thank you for making UHS not just a workplace, but a space of growth, empowerment and compassion.
This recognition wouldn’t be possible without the daily embodiment of our Values:
Compassion: Our empathetic approach builds a nurturing environment for both patients and employees.
Trust: Through reliability and expertise, we empower and safeguard our UHS community.
Respect: We listen actively and respond with courtesy, making everyone feel valued.
Teamwork: Collaboration is the cornerstone of our achievements, built on diverse perspectives and mutual support.
Innovation: A forward-looking mindset propels us toward sustainable growth and improvement.
“As we celebrate this accomplishment, let’s also take a moment to thank each and every leader and team member for their significant contributions to making UHS an employer of choice,” Sheri said.
