

Lucinda Rider earns Fellowship Designation from Financial Management Association

Congratulations to UHS Delaware Valley Hospital's (DVH) Vice President of Finance & Chief Financial Officer, Lucinda Rider, MBA, FHFMA, CHFP, who recently became a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA).
To be awarded this distinction, applicants must be credentialed as a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP), be an Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) member for at least five years, complete a bachelor’s degree or 120 semester hours from an accredited college or university, provide a letter of recommendation, and volunteer for the Healthcare Financial Management Association or the healthcare industry. More than 1,800 HFMA members nationwide have achieved this accomplishment in the organization’s 75+ year history.
Rider’s specific contributions to the healthcare industry include:
- National Advisory Council member
- Becker’s Healthcare Honoree for the past 3 years (Women CFOs to Know and Rural Hospital CFOs to Know)
- Served as an expert panelist for both HFMA and Becker’s Healthcare on topics for healthcare finance.
- Member of the following women executives: Women’s Rural Healthcare Executive Network (WRHEN), and Upstate NY Women’s Alliance Network.
For twenty-four years, Rider has led the hospital to a positive bottom line and has implemented a strategic investment and cost containment plan that improved its cash-flow situation. In addition to her role as VP/CFO, Rider serves as the UHS Delaware Valley Hospital compliance chair, the board chair of the UHS Employee Federal Credit Union, and a board member for the Rural Health Network of South Central NY.
