Employees get 'Wow!' look at Wilson Main Tower
It was a thrilling day for UHS and a first big day for the almost-completed Wilson Main Tower to really shine.
UHS employees, providers and volunteers got a firsthand look at the new tower at UHS Wilson Medical Center on May 15 when a Grand Preview Event was held for everyone on Team UHS.
The day began with a formal raising of the American flag on the pole located in front of the building on Johnson City’s Main Street, featuring a U.S. military honor guard.
The flag-raising event was followed by group photos of all members of Team UHS in attendance.
The UHS Choir performed and a blessing dedication of the new building was held in the tower Lobby.
In addition, there was a bench dedication on the Lobby Terrace to honor the memories of several employees from one family who lost their lives in a highway accident this past January.
Guided group tours of several floors of the tower were offered to those who attended the all-day event.
