Dr. Yuan and Dr. Bajwa honored with Presidential Award from SUNY Upstate

Derek Yuan, MD, of UHS Neurology, and Zafar J. Bajwa, MD, of UHS Radiology, have been honored by the State University of New York’s Upstate Medical University with President's Award. Dr. Yuan was honored for Excellence in Voluntary Faculty, while Dr. Bajwa was honored for Excellence in Teaching. 

They received the awards on Sept. 14. 

Both providers were nominated by their colleagues at UHS and are being recognized with this special honor for being an excellent teacher and role model in their work with medical students.

The award, given on an annual basis, is open to nominations from faculty, students and staff.  

We are very proud of Dr. Yuan and Dr. Bajwa's accomplishment and for their continued service to teaching the next generation of physicians.
