Cori Pane, NP, receives April 2022 LOVED Award
Cori Pane, Nurse Practitioner, UHS Spine Care & Pain Relief Johnson City, has been selected as the April 2022 LOVED Award recipient. Cori was recognized by a patient for compassionately providing much-needed relief from chronic pain. What’s more, Cori was able to engage with the patient’s autistic son during a visit so she did not have to miss her appointment when she didn’t have childcare.
After review of more than 40 recognition submissions, Cori was selected as the most deserving recipient of the LOVED Award this April. The UHS LOVED Award (Living Our Values Every Day) highlights employees and provider who exemplify our Values of Compassion, Trust, Respect, Teamwork, and Innovation through contributions that improve experiences for our patients, families, and colleagues.
Cori’s patient specifically noted her display of Compassion, Trust, Respect, and Teamwork.
From the recognition submission:
“I became a patient of Cori Pane's in January 2022. I had been suffering with chronic pain and burning for over 6 months when I saw her. After leaving my first visit with her I was so relieved to finally have someone acknowledge and address my pain. I was very impressed with her diagnosing techniques and asking questions to understand my overall situation.
During one of my visits I had to bring my son with me who is autistic. I explained to her that I was sorry he was interrupting, as he does have autism. She sat him next to her and included him in talking about my situation and plan of what she was going to do to help me through situation. She did so with a genuine smile and love in her heart. It melts my heart and brings tears to my eyes when I think back to how she handled the situation with my son. She is definitely an amazing care provider and with a high level of human compassion that just comes naturally. I am now pain free and my life has been changed in many good ways. All in part to the exceptional care I received from Cori Pane. I can’t say thank you enough for how grateful I am.”
Please join us in congratulating Cori!
