Bernhard Langer entertains with stories of his career at the UHS Health Expo
A full crowd listened intently as golf legend Bernhard Langer told stories about this legendary golf career during the UHS Health Expo which took place Wednesday, June 19 at the Dick's Open.
Despite the heat, Langer was able to chat with SiriusXM host Dave Marr about his youth and the beginning of his career, his faith, some of his big victories on the PGA tour and what wellness and fitness mean to him. The legend also took questions from the crowd, which he was happy to answer.
At age 66, Langer has the most senior major championships among the PGA Tour Champions. He has won a record 12 senior major championships, been the money leader in a record 11 seasons and for a record seven times in a row. He has the most PGA Tour Champions career wins and is one of only two players who have achieved the career Senior Grand Slam (winning each of the five major championships at least once during one's career), giving him plenty to talk about during his presentation.
Langer's presentation came after the free, interactive, walk-through Expo for the public. The Health Expo featured a variety of demonstrations, including mini tai-chi sessions, and Sports Medicine on core, knee and shoulder health, skin cancer screenings, healthy food samples and giveaways.
Next up? UHS, in partnership with the Dick’s Open, will host a free Family Fun Night, featuring the movie “Toy Story,” on Saturday, June 22, at 8 p.m., followed by a fireworks display, at En-Joie. The family friendly event is free and open to the public.
