Baby born on Christmas brings holiday joy to parents
At UHS Wilson Medical Center, one couple received an extra special Christmas gift this year, welcoming their baby boy on Christmas morning. He arrived at 2:28 a.m., at 20 inches long and weighing 7 pounds and 2 ounces.
Team UHS came together, with caring and enthusiasm for the baby's birth, demonstrating UHS’ Values of Compassion and Teamwork.
The holidays symbolize many different things for many people–extra time spent with family and friends, delicious feasts and, of course, a few extra days off from work.
But for hospitals, there’s no shutting down, no half-day closing and no holiday hours, which means some staff work over the holidays. UHS salutes all of its employees and providers who are on the scene and providing care during holiday hours.
UHS congratulates the new parents on their bundle of joy. Christmas babies always make the holidays bright for our Maternity staff!
