Plastic Surgery
Plastic surgery is a special type of surgery that addresses a patient’s desire for change in appearance or to minimize deformities (of the face or body) resulting from birth defects, disease or injury. The term “plastic” comes from the Greek word “plastikos,” which means “to mold or form.” Plastic surgeons work to improve a patient’s appearance and self-image through reconstructive and cosmetic procedures.
