New UHS Wilson Main Tower opens to the public

The highly-anticipated opening of the new UHS Wilson Main Tower is here! Serving as the new "Front Door" to the medical campus, the Wilson Main Tower is now open for patients and visitors, as of Wednesday, June 26 at 5 a.m. This opening is set to transform the UHS Wilson Medical Center into a state-of-the-art healthcare facility.

With its strategic location facing Main Street, the Wilson Main Tower streamlines access for all individuals arriving at the Wilson Medical Center, including those seeking emergency care. UHS Ambassadors are on hand to guide patients and visitors to their destinations within the campus.

The Wilson Main Tower entrance, accessible via Harrison Street, now serves as the primary point of entry for patients and visitors, offering convenient drop-off, pick-up, and valet services. Valet parking is available Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., further enhancing accessibility for those seeking medical care or visiting loved ones.

This innovative front door design not only provides a centralized entry point but also prioritizes patient convenience, making it easier for individuals to locate their appointments and navigate the Wilson Medical Center campus efficiently.

How to access the UHS Wilson Medical Center Entrance

The entrance to the UHS Wilson Medical Center is now located at the Wilson Main Tower. Patients and visitors can access this entry point via Harrison Street as they arrive to the complex. The centralized entrance is used for drop-off, pick-up and valet services. Valet parking is available Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

UHS Wilson Medical Center offers many parking locations on Harrison and Baldwin Streets. Once parked, pedestrians entering the facility can utilize the accessible ramps on both Harrison and Baldwin Streets, leading to the Wilson Main Tower.

The former main entrance to UHS Wilson Medical Center on Baldwin Street is now closed to patients and visitors.

How to access the Emergency Department

The Emergency Department parking lot and entrance at the Wilson Main Tower can be accessed from Baldwin Street. The new ED entrance is through the doorway on the first floor of the parking lot. Valet services are available for those accessing the ED Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

How to enter UHS Wilson Medical Center after hours

The opening of the new UHS Wilson Main Tower brings a change to how visitors will enter the hospital after main visiting hours.

The main entrance to UHS Wilson Medical Center, now located at the new Wilson Main Tower, is locked from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

For access, members of the public have the following options:

• Activate the Intercom system to the left of the Main Entrance door.
• Contact UHS Security at (607) 763-8888.
