Nancy Fuller named 2024 Sally Dean Award winner
Nancy Fuller, imaging supervisor at UHS Delaware Valley Hospital (DVH), was presented with the 2024 Sally Dean Award during a ceremony held at the hospital on Wednesday, December 18.
Considered DVH’s most prestigious award, the Sally Dean Award was created in memory of Sally Dean, a former nurse at DVH who treated patients, visitors and her co-workers with true dedication, commitment and compassion – inspiring others to do the same.
This award is given out each year to an outstanding employee nominated by his or her peers and then selected by the DVH Senior Management Team.
Nancy has been with Delaware Valley for 7 years in the imaging department, performing mammography, CT, X-rays and DEXA scans. She was promoted to lead tech 2 years ago and to imaging supervisor last year.
While presenting Nancy with the award, Rolland “Boomer” Bojo, UHS Delaware Valley Hospital President and CEO, spoke of how Nancy shows up to work every day with a smile and great attitude, doing whatever she can to make a patient’s experience excellent.
“She is devoted to patients and employees and is a good representation of how this hospital promotes a family workplace and the way healthcare should be done,” a peer wrote of Nancy in one of the nominations.
Nancy was honored to be selected for the award. “I am deeply humbled by this recognition from my department and peers, and I truly appreciate being viewed as an example of the values DVH represents,” she explained. “I am grateful to work in such a rewarding environment and could not ask for a better team to work alongside.”
