Cheryl Suhadolnik named the 2021 Broome County Immunization Champion
Cheryl Suhadolnik, Clinical coordinator for UHS Physician Practices, has been chosen as one of the 2021 Broome County Immunization Champion by the Broome County Health Department and Broome County Adult Immunization Coalition.
Cheryl has been a nurse with UHS for 41 years and credits her passion for immunization starting during her 10 years in rural clinic nursing in Windsor. She was chosen for this distinction because of her dedication to the promotion of vaccines to decrease the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases in adults and children. Cheryl provides education and guidance to UHS clinicians and works with outside agencies to obtain the most up to date information on the latest vaccines. She collaborates with our state and local health departments to ensure the safe and efficient storage, handling and administration of vaccines to our patients.
"It's truly an honor to be recognized by your peers in this way. To me, the message of working in immunizations is about respecting everybody's story and being able to listen and educating with fact instead of opinion." said Cheryl.
Her work truly impacts the health and well-being of our community. Congratulations Cheryl!
