Caring professionals honored during National Hospital Week

In recognition of National Hospital Week, UHS honors the providers, employees and volunteers of the UHS System for the extraordinary care and service delivered all through the year.

National Hospital Week, this year observed from May 12 to 18, is the nation’s leading annual healthcare observance, a celebration of the history, technology and professionalism that make hospitals beacons of hope, confidence and care.

Hospital Week is an opportunity to highlight our nation’s hospitals, healthcare systems and healthcare workers and the innovative ways they are supporting and connecting with their communities..

We of UHS recognize the Compassion, Trust, Respect, Teamwork and Innovation that are the hallmarks of our teams’ commitment to an exceptional patient experience, at every facility across the System.

There is no greater gift than that of good health. Our team members serve their neighbors, friends, families and visitors from around the region and are greatly appreciated and honored this week and all year long.

As the healthcare leader and largest private employer in the region, we of UHS embrace our responsibility to positively impact the health and well-being of our patients and community. As the medical needs of our region continue to change and increase, we are expanding and enhancing access to care so that everyone can receive the right care at the right time in the right place.

This year, in conjunction with Hospital Week and Healthcare Week, UHS will introduce the community to the new Wilson Main Tower on the campus of UHS Wilson Medical Center. Featuring a new Emergency & Trauma Center, helipad, inpatient MRI suite and 120 private patient rooms with private bathrooms, the tower is destined to transform the care experience in the Southern Tier.

Through meaningful investments in the future of care and service, we are improving the health of our region, offering a breadth and depth of services that are exceptional for a community the size of Greater Binghamton.

In every interaction with patients in their most vulnerable moments, the staff across all of our System members make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.
