Work to start on UHS Binghamton General entrance
Beginning on April 8, the main entrance to UHS Binghamton General Hospital on Mitchell Avenue will begin undergoing renovations to replace the canopy and façade. The project is expected to be completed in June.
The main entrance will be closed during the remodeling work and temporary entrances opened for patient, visitor and staff access. For emergency exiting, alternative exits will be identified and signs posted.
To enter and exit UHS Binghamton General:
Access to the doctors’ entrance just south of the current main entrance will be provided.
Patients, visitors and staff will be able to enter from the doctors’ entrance, using the stairs in the Krembs Courtyard or a handicap-accessible ramp.
Access to the doctors’ entrance will be available seven days a week, from 5 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. These are the same hours that the main entrance would typically be open.
Parking spaces on Mitchell Avenue in front of the Krembs Courtyard will be restricted throughout the project.
Valet parking will continue to be offered. UHS staff will be available to assist visitors during the renovation project.
