UHS welcomes first baby of 2025
It’s a girl! Born on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at UHS Wilson Medical Center, Zoe Anthonellys made history as UHS’ first baby of the New Year.
Zoe is the newest member of the family of José Garcia and Sandy Lopez Perozo from Binghamton, NY. She arrived at 6:20 a.m., weighing 7 pounds, 0.8 ounces, and measuring 20 inches long.
Our dedicated Maternity team at UHS worked together with compassion and teamwork to ensure both Mom and Baby were well cared for as Zoe made her special debut.
The New Year brings with it a sense of enthusiasm, optimism, and hope—and welcoming new life is a beautiful way to start January 1.

New Year’s babies always bring extra brightness to the holiday season. UHS sends best wishes for health and happiness to all the families welcoming little ones this time of year.
A heartfelt thank you to all UHS employees and providers who dedicate themselves to caring for patients around the clock, during the holidays and every day of the year.
