UHS Sets Opening Date for Wilson Main Tower on June 26

Tower will serve as new “Front Door” to UHS Wilson Medical Center

BINGHAMTON, New York (June 20, 2024)—UHS announces that the highly-anticipated opening of the new Wilson 
Main Tower will be on Wednesday, June 26. Serving as the new "Front Door" to the UHS Wilson Medical Campus, 
this opening is set to transform the campus into a state-of-the-art healthcare facility.

With its strategic location facing Main Street, the Wilson Main Tower will streamline access for all individuals 
arriving at the Wilson Medical Center campus, including those seeking emergency care. The Wilson Main Tower 
entrance, accessible via Harrison Street, will serve as the primary point of entry for patients and visitors, offering 
convenient drop-off, pick-up, and valet services beginning on June 26. Valet parking will be available Monday through 
Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., further enhancing accessibility for those seeking medical care or visiting loved 
ones. The current entrance to UHS Wilson Medical Center located on Baldwin Street will be closed to patients and 
visitors on June 26.

Access to the newly revamped Emergency Department at the Wilson Main Tower will be available via Baldwin Street
on June 26. Parking for the Emergency Department can be accessed on this same street. The new ED entrance is 
through the doorway on the first floor of the parking lot. Valet parking is available for those accessing the ED Monday 
through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

UHS Wilson Medical Center offers many parking locations on Harrison Street and Baldwin Street. Once parked, 
pedestrians entering the facility can utilize the accessible ramps on both Harrison and Baldwin Streets leading to the 
new main entrance.

This innovative front door design not only provides a centralized entry point but also prioritizes patient convenience, 
making it easier for individuals to locate their appointments and navigate the UHS Wilson Medical Center campus 
efficiently. UHS Ambassadors will be on hand to guide patients and visitors to their destinations within the campus,
