UHS is proud sponsor of Stand Up to Cancer
UHS will join actor-producer Bradley Cooper and the entertainment community for “Stand Up to Cancer,” a sixth biennial roadblock televised fundraising special that supports urgently needed research and new treatments for cancer.
With a dazzling array of top talent, the show will air from 8 to 9 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 7, on WBNG-TV in Greater Binghamton.
UHS is a local sponsor of the program on Channel 12.
This live fundraising event will air simultaneously on more than 50 broadcast and cable networks across the United States and Canada.
Over the past 10 years, it has raised more than $480 million in the fight against cancer.
Mr. Cooper, an Oscar-nominated performer, and the live-event production team of Done + Dusted, will stage-manage the lively telecast.
In the U.S., one in two men and one in three women are expected to be diagnosed with some form of cancer during their lifetimes, making funding for new research breakthroughs and treatments all the more important.
