UHS offers COVID-19 screening guidance to aid school administrators

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this will be an unprecedented fall semester and we're here to help our region's schools navigate through it.

As the 2020-2021 school year approaches, UHS is offering guidance intended to aid school administrators as they consider how to protect the health, safety, and wellbeing of students, staff, their families and communities.

UHS health professionals compiled a comprehensive resource guide for school districts to screen for COVID-19 and provide guidance for the dismissal and return of students/staff to school. The guidance document being offered to schools will be updated as new information is released by the CDC, NYSDOH and NYS Education Department.

UHS is planning an online video conference to take place on Tuesday, September 8 at 4:30 p.m. to discuss the resource guide and answer any questions that participants might have.

School nurses and superintendents interested in participating in this video conference should complete this survey as soon as possible.
