Russell Farms was established in 1982 as a family-owned, first-generation retail farm market. It started as a roadside table in Montrose, Pa., and blossomed into a you-pick apple orchard and farm at Brackney, with retail locations in Montrose, Brackney, Vestal and Apalachin. The market specializes in fruits and vegetables fresh from the farm, fresh-pressed cider, community-supported agriculture, bakery items from scratch, a garden center and a nursery.
