UHS Labor & Delivery Team gets into Back-to-School spirit

With Labor Day behind us, it is officially back to school season for local students! Our Labor and Delivery team got into the spirit of the season with a fun new wall display for the unit.

Nurses Kaitlyn and Jewelie recently put up a 'Welcome Class of 2042' display on the wall of the department. The wall art incorporates everyone on the Labor & Delivery team, including doctors, nurses, surg techs, aides and secretaries and is often inspired by holidays and seasons.

Within the wall art, the nurses also include cervical dilation, making it fun for patients, while making them aware of their progress in labor. For this display, the various sizes of the apples represent the progress in labor.
