UHS hosts BLI's 2024 Healthcare Day
UHS hosted the Broome Leadership Institute’s (BLI) 2024 Healthcare Day on Feb. 1 at UHS Binghamton General Hospital.
Dozens of participants from the Class of 2024 participated in the event, which featured a tour of the UHS Wilson Main Tower, the UHS Child Care Center and the future home of the 24/7 UHS Retail Pharmacy, along with presentations by experts in the health field and a panel discussion in the hospital’s Russell Room.
Speakers included John Carrigg, UHS president and CEO; Tina Dolan, UHS Director, Public Policy & Program Development, and Cara Fraser, LCSW-R,MPA, UHS Administrative Director, Behavioral Health on a variety of topics from the substance use disorder stigma to the current healthcare environment.
Panel topics that were covered included 'Supporting Our Evolving Community Through Innovation' and 'Respect & Heal: Building a safer and stronger patient care environment'.
BLI is a six-month community leadership program for business professionals, giving them the opportunity to learn firsthand about the corporations, organizations and industries in the Greater Binghamton region.
