UHS EMS team provides full coverage for local fairs
The UHS Emergency Medical Services team has had a busy few weeks providing EMS coverage at local fairs and festivals.
At this year's Spiedie Fest, our EMS units responded to 6 emergency calls during the weekend. The team also helped cover the Scotty McCreery concert, and many other special events that happened throughout the weekend at Otsiningo Park. The crew had 5 EMS personnel on sight staffing the UTV and first aid tent.
The EMS team also provided EMS standby for the Tioga County Fair. The fair started on Monday and ended on Saturday, and UHS had 3 staff members on standby each day. Our crew interacted with the community and even visited with the 4H kids to see their animals. The group stood by for the horse race, demo derby, animal shows, tractor pulls and many other events that went on during the fair. They also had a UHS booth set up with information on all the services UHS has to offer. During the event the UHS EMS responded to 4 emergency calls.
