UHS EMS teach CPR and Stop the Bleed to Law Enforcement Academy

UHS Emergency Medical Services (EMS) has been working with the recruits from the Broome County Peace Officer Academy, teaching the recruits CPR and AED to help prepare them to help people within the community. 

This past week UHS EMS educated the recruits in Stop the Bleed. For law enforcement, CPR and Stop the Bleed are a vital piece of training as they are usually the first to arrive to most incidents and start caring for the people in need.  Stop the Bleed also teaches law enforcement how to take care of themselves if they should become injured.

The EMS team has enjoyed the partnership working with the Broome County Peace Officer Academy and looks forward to working with them in the future.
