UHS Binghamton General Hospital Krembs Gallery exhibition
The works of two Southern Tier artists are being exhibited now through Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Krembs Gallery at UHS Binghamton General Hospital.
Jagmohan Sidhu, MD is an anatomice and clinical pathologist who regards pathology as being an intersection of arrt and medicine. He feels that patterns of tissue under the microscope are akin to paintings on a canvas. His 55-year-old love of drawing and painting has primed his visual cortex to be really good at pattern recognition in anatomic pathology slides. This art show is about some of the abstract objects he has seen under microscope. Dr. Sidhu is medical director of Pathology and Laboratory Services at UHS Hospitals.
Also at the Krembs Gallery,George Schwartz will be exhibiting his artwork. Mr. Schwarts expresses himself through abstracts, expressionism cubism and landscapes. He is often inspired by music, working to jazz as well as classical recordings, as he paints and draws. His first major work was created while listening to the Stan Getz Quartet. The painting is entitled"Window/Sweet Rain" and is in a private collection.
