Team UHS volunteers at the Broome-Tioga Special Olympics

Members of the UHS Therapy & Rehabilitation team and other UHS Employees teamed up this weekend to volunteer at the annual Broome-Tioga Special Olympics at Chenango Valley High School! 

A special thank you to UHS' Thomas Sorber, OTR/L who organized the UHS Volunteers.  Tommy is also a major leader in coordinating the Special Olympics Event every year, as well as a year round trainer and coach! 

The Broome-Tioga Special Olympics is part of a nationwide organization that provides year round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.  The Olympics allows for opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, and experience joy and participation.
