Nutrition as we age is a subject of a free UHS Seminar
UHS will present a free Adult Wellness Seminar, The Golden Years: Nutrition as We Age, on Wednesday, October 2 at 6 p.m. at the UHS Stay Healthy Center, Oakdale Mall.
In this seminar, UHS Registered Dietitian Kelvin Lee expands on important nutritional topics for this cherished population.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, “Today, 45 million adults living in the United States, 14% of the population, are 65 or older. By 2050, that number is expected to climb to about 80 million, or 20% of the population.”
As our population ages, understanding the role of proper nutrition in older adults is of paramount importance.
Register by calling 607-763-5092 or visit www.nyuhs.org. There is no charge for this seminar.
UHS is a locally owned, not-for-profit hospital and healthcare system serving Greater Binghamton and surrounding counties. Founded in 1981, UHS provides a full range of medical, surgical, rehabilitative and long-term care services throughout New York’s Southern Tier.
