Food collection is part of her wellness mission

AnnMarie Smith coordinated a food and personal care product drive at UHS Chenango Memorial locations recently to benefit those served by Chenango County's largest food pantry, the Evening Sun newspaper reported July 21.
AnnMarie, wellness coordinator at the hospital, said: "Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the need and use of food pantries has increased."
AnnMarie loaded the back of her vehicle with boxes and bags of canned goods, laundry detergent, body wash, shampoo and toothpaste and delivered them to the Roots & Wings charity.
She was supported by her UHS Chenango Memorial colleagues, who donated a large volume of items at the hospital and physician practice locations during the drive.
