Flu prompts visitor restrictions at UHS Wilson and Binghamton General Hospitals
February 16, 2017
To protect patients during flu season, UHS Wilson and Binghamton General Hospitals have put visitor restrictions in place.
The current restrictions are:
- No children under the age of 14
- Anyone who has exhibited any of the following flu-like symptoms within the past 24 hours should postpone their visit to nursing units at Wilson and Binghamton General Hospitals:
- Fever
- Cough
- Sore throat
- Runny nose
- Nasal congestion
The restrictions are necessary due to an increased prevalence of the flu in the Southern Tier and are designed to minimize flu exposure to patients.
