Ostomy Support Group
The UHS Wound, Ostomy, Continence Department would like to invite you to the Ostomy Support Group.
This group welcomes all age patients, and/or support persons, who have fecal and/or urinary diversions including colostomy, ileostomy, jejunostomy, urostomy, gastrostomy, nephrostomy, and intestinal fistulas. This group is led by a team of Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses and those in training. We understand that having an ostomy is life changing and we are here to walk through this with you. We share experiences, supply issues, donated supplies, updates on techniques, community and education programs, and emotional support. You are NOT alone!
Meetings take place every other month from 2:00 - 3:30 pm in the Russell Room. Meet at Binghamton General Hospital, 10-42 Mitchell Avenue, Binghamton, NY. The main hospital entrance is on the right and the parking lot is on the left. Valet parking is also available at this entrance. When you arrive, the room is an easy walk - come into the main desk straight ahead at the end of the hall, check in, and the security staff will show you the way!
Registration for this support group is not required.
If you have any questions or concerns, please call the department at (607) 763-5009.
