

Out of the Darkness Walk
The UHS Behavioral Health team will once again be participating in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's (AFSP) Out of the Darkness fundraiser walk on October 1, 2023.
This yearly fundraising event is held at Otsiningo Park and UHS has raised almost $6,400 since 2021! This year, the department's fundraising goal is $3,000.

Anyone wishing to donate or join the team, please do so at the link above. You can join and fundraise even if you aren't able to participate in the actual walk. As an added bonus, anyone who individually raises $150 receives a free t-shirt the day of the event!
AFSP allocates 80 percent of its expenses into direct program services. UHS partners regularly with AFSP on several other initiatives, including the Chalk the Walk event and the International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day. Once again, UHS Behavioral Health will be participating the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's Out of the Darkness Walk!
