LifeSteps Program at UHS Delaware Valley Hospital
January is a great time to start making changes in your diet. Would you like to make positive lifestyle changes? Would you like to be able to manage your weight more effectively? If so, please plan to attend the informational meeting about the Lifesteps® Weight Management program on Monday, January 29 at 4:30 p.m. in the UHS Primary Care office. This program, offered by UHS Delaware Valley Hospital, will be facilitated by Cathy McLachlan, certified dietitian-nutritionist.
The Lifesteps® Weight Management program is for people who are ready to change behaviors that prevent weight loss. It is not like other programs in that it recognizes that people are unique, with different eating and exercise habits, weight loss goals and daily schedules.
Participants tailor the ten-week program to fit their needs. They meet for an hour, once each week where they share their experiences and learn tips for dealing with weight management and preventing relapses.
Mrs. McLachlan stated, “UHS Delaware Valley Hospital is offering this program again because of the success community members have had with it in the past.” She invited everyone interested to attend the free informational meeting on January 29. “I also urge anyone who is interested but cannot attend this informational meeting to call me to learn more. We need a minimum number of participants for this to be an effective program.” Anyone who has completed the program in the past is also welcome to join.
